I researched dermarollers. And I mean RESEARCHED. I've gone through forums and websites and checked out auction sites looking for information. After all, if you're going to stick your face with needles you better know what you're doing!I found out there are two different types of dermarolling. There's the deeper type that is used to reduce scars and stimulate collagen. For this type, you use needles .75 mm and longer. Most people use 1.5. It takes like 90 days before you can do it again, because you are deliberately damaging your dermis. Then there's the gentler kind used to help skin products penetrate down through the tough (dead) top layer of the skin. So the actives in there can do their work on newer skin. You use .25 mm or .5 needles for this. The Genosys is .25 mm so it is the perfect depth for skincare penetration. You apply your product and then roll the roller over your face. I have big pores but it's the pitted scar leftover by the acne i used to have during my younger days that really bother me. My pitted scars aren't so bad, pretty swallow and i must say i am very impressed the first time i used this roller. When i use foundation, my scars are no longer so noticeable. so u bet i am going to use it every other day. The .25mm roller is not painful, good for home use and u get just abit of rosy flush on the cheeks that goes away the next time. You can camouflage it with some light makeup too. |
